Workshops 2012

Here is the Cityplot workshop schedule for 2012. Check back regularly as we add new workshops, or sign up to our Facebook page for the latest updates!

Get Down, Get Dirty, Grow Your Own Food! A series of 4 workshops that will give you the tools and know-how to grow your own food at home. The workshops will be given on the following dates at your choice of location: Proef in Westerpark (10-12:00, in English) or Westindischebuurt/Surinameplein (16-18:00, in Dutch).
Friday March 16th: Workshop 1, Soil and Seeds
Friday April 20th: Workshop 2, Seedlings to Plants
Friday May 25th: Workshop 3, Caring for your Crops
Friday August 31st: Workshop 4, Harvesting and Winter Crops
The workshop series plus materials (manual, seed trays, starter seeds) costs 100 euros. There is a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 participants per workshop. You can pay per class (30 euros) or for the full series (100 euros).

You can register by emailing info@cityplot.org (please specify which date you are interested in). You can pay with PayPal for the whole series, or by bank transfer for the single workshops:

Composting with Worms! We will teach you how to make your own low-cost worm bin for your kitchen or balcony. You will go home with worms to live in your bin, and information about how to feed them so that they make a rich compost for your plants.
Saturday March 31st and Saturday May 19th, 10-12:00, Proef restaurant in the Westerpark. The workshops will be held in English.
Workshop cost is 30 euros, including bin, worms, an information pack, coffee or tea and cake. You can pay with PayPal or by bank transfer.
