Allan Poot - for all your questions about CityPlot – Amsterdam.
allan@cityplot.org

Coordinator of ethics and business.
Allan brings a strong business acumen to the table, whilst coming from a humanitarian angle. Having started life in Africa, where the air was clean and the horizon far away, he would like to see city dwellers enjoying the basics of what he once took so much for granted. Nowadays, his ideal working role combines his engineering, business and sales skills with his emotions. Being able to be part of something new that is based on good ethical and moral standards make his heart sing!

Combining strong interpersonal relationship skills with excellent administrative ability, Allan’s role within CityPlot is focused on the business interactions required for the success and growth of the overall vision.

Leonie Woidt-Wallisser - for all your questions about CityPlot – Berlin.
leonie@cityplot.org

Initiator of CityPlot.
Leonie has a background in Architecture and the Fine Arts and is an enthusiastic Ecologist. Since having left a large garden in small-town South Australia, she has lived amongst the urban populations of Australia, Germany, the U.S. and the Netherlands. Her theoretical research in Restoration Ecology in the Cultural Sector, undertaken as part of degree studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, have triggered her to start up practical, team-based ecological initiatives and to surround herself with inspirational ‘green thinkers’ (eg. the abovementioned CityPlot team members).

Robbert Bouman - for your questions about CityPlot ornamental and wild plantings.

A local in a global village.
Robbert’s studies have lead him through the fields of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and his professional life to date has encompassed his varied range of passions and talents – spanning from the organisation of architectural exhibitions; to dealing with urban planning and infrastructure; to writing several articles and publications around the theme of nature in the city. A lengthy stint working at the renowned bookshop ‘Architectura and Natura’ opened a fervour in him for books about plantlife, nature and current ecological issues. These he has pursued ever since, having designed landscape works ranging in scale from new estates through to private gardens.

Josjah Kunkeler - for questions about Cityplot webtexts and a farming-beginners-point-of-view

josjah@cityplot.org

Originally born in Arnhem, taking a detour via Utrecht where she graduated as a Conflict Analist and Human Rights specialist, Josjah finally found here way to Amsterdam. Throughout her studies she focused on typical urban themes, ranging from sexual education in Guatemala, to urban gang warfare in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Los Angeles. Now her focus is on making the city a more pleasant place to live, laugh and love. Nature is in her eyes an important aspect of happiness and a right to which we are all entitled. Let’s claim it! Being a typical urban child, she always craved for some green in her direct surroundings. Now living in the ‘big’ city, she intends to not only produce her own little green heaven on her balcony, she is also passionate to encourage others to do the same and to show them that creating a personal little farm in the middle of  the concrete jungles that cities are is surprisingly easy!

Auke Bakker - for your questions about CityPlot community and school gardens.
